The Xikou ferry crossing, located at Water Gate No. 4 on Songhe Street, has been a hub for north-south trade and goods distribution since ancient times, once flourishing as the starting port for the development of Xikou culture in the Songshan area. In 2009, the Taipei City Government completed the construction of Xikou Pier on December 15th to extend the Blue Highway routes. They also renovated the surrounding revetment and waterfront promenade, creating an integrated landscape, and connected the pedestrian walkway between Xikou Pier and Keelung River Embankment Gate No. 4. Furthermore, Xikou Pier is adjacent to distinctive attractions such as Rainbow Bridge, Ciyou Temple, and Raohe Tourist Night Market. With plenty of food and entertainment, it is set to become another new tourist landmark in your heart.
