Its establishment at the time was like the heart of the bustling Dadaocheng area, located at the convergence point of Chongqing North Road, Nanjing West Road, Ningxia Road, and Tianshui Road. It not only drove the industrial and commercial prosperity of the area, expanding to the surrounding old Jiancheng district, but was also the cradle for many successful entrepreneurs. After several historical changes, from the ancient Dadaocheng Roundabout air-raid reservoir discovered during the excavation of the foundation for the reconstruction project in early 2002, to the Jiancheng Roundabout, a culinary memory for many. The Jiancheng Roundabout has now transformed into an urban oasis.
