Treasure Hill Artist Village. Located by the Gongguan waterfront, Treasure Hill Artist Village's historical axis includes not only the municipal historic site of Treasure Hill Temple, but also the historical settlement that extends from the vicinity of the temple. This settlement is primarily formed by illegal structures built in the 1960s and 1970s. These buildings, constructed along the mountainside and by the water, are winding, scattered, and complex, presenting a unique settlement appearance of Taiwan. In 2004, Treasure Hill was officially registered as a historic building and preserved through settlement revitalization. In 2010, Treasure Hill Artist Village officially began operations, introducing programs such as 'Treasure Homeland,' 'Artist-in-Residence Program,' and 'Youth Hostel' under the concept of 'Symbiotic Settlement.' It revitalizes and preserves Treasure Hill through the co-creation of art and living spaces, creating a diverse and rich appearance for the settlement. Treasure Hill Artist Village serves as a platform connecting settlement residents and resident artists, injecting new vitality into Treasure Hill. Currently, Treasure Hill Artist Village has 14 artist studios, serving as spaces for domestic and international resident artists to work and live. In addition, it also includes rehearsal rooms, exhibition rooms, and outdoor performance spaces. Looking up from the green space along the riverbank below the settlement, the continuous ruins form a historical cross-section, providing clues for reading Treasure Hill's rich historical texture and its ambiguous spatial structure.
