Fushou in Taipei City, Songshan Ci Hui Tang was founded by Ms. Guo Ye-zi, the current hall master, a devout female lay Buddhist who cultivates both spiritual practice and moral virtue. Upholding the principle of divine teachings to guide sentient beings, inspire spiritual cultivation in devotees, and purify the human heart with compassion for oneself and others, she established this temple. Songshan Ci Hui Tang enshrines the Holy Mother of the Jade Pond, Queen Mother of the West. The environment here is elegant, the divine aura is clear, and the atmosphere is spiritual, majestic, and grand. Surrounded by green mountains, it is truly a place where saints, sages, and immortals gather, a sanctuary for devotees to cultivate their minds and spirits, and a must-visit scenic spot for tourists. The temple covers an area of over 10,000 ping and consists of a meticulously structured five-story complex. The temple buildings are towering and reach the sky, flanked by bell and drum towers in the style of pagodas, further enhancing its imposing and magnificent presence. Standing on the balcony of the second-floor main hall, one can overlook the cityscape of Taipei, taking in the panoramic view, which is exhilarating and makes visitors reluctant to leave. The design of the halls primarily follows traditional Chinese temple architecture, incorporating artistic features of Ming and Qing dynasty palaces. It blends old and new, exuding an ancient charm, nestled amidst verdant pines and cypresses. The red bricks and yellow tiles truly stand out like a splash of color amidst the lush greenery, captivating the imagination.
