Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Park. Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Park, originally named "Jinxi Park," is located in the Dadaocheng area. It covers an area of 5,060 square meters and is the largest neighborhood park in Datong District. Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Park, formerly known as "Jinxi Park," is located in the Dadaocheng area. With an area of 5,060 square meters, it is the largest neighborhood park in Datong District. Mr. Chiang Wei-shui was a Taiwanese democratic fighter and cultural pioneer whose life events largely took place in the Dadaocheng area, such as establishing Da'an Hospital, founding the Taiwan Cultural Association, and setting up the main wholesale office for the Min Pao newspaper. To commemorate Mr. Chiang Wei-shui, the Taipei City Government renamed the nearby Jinxi Park to "Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Park." Within Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Park, there is an entrance monument and a memorial archway. The side wall of the entrance monument is inscribed with an introduction to Mr. Chiang Wei-shui's life written by historian and scholar Mr. Zhuang Yong-ming. The content is available in Chinese, English, and Japanese, making it convenient for visitors from all over. The exterior design of the memorial archway imitates the Baroque architectural style of Dihua Street, recreating the local characteristics and appearance. Additionally, above the inscription wall on the front, a plaque reading "Chiang Wei-shui Memorial Monument" is embedded. The pillars on both sides are embedded with the slogan "Compatriots must unite, unity is strength" written by calligrapher Mr. Pan Ching-chung. The overall landscape is solemn and dignified, fully demonstrating its commemorative significance. The park also features pavilions, park benches, and playground equipment, allowing everyone to slow down and explore the story of Chiang Wei-shui together.
