Wenshan Community Center. Originally the long-idle and dilapidated principal's residence of Muzha Elementary School, it has been renovated and transformed into an elegant building that blends Japanese simplicity with modern aesthetics. The planning and establishment of the Wenshan Community Center had a challenging process. Starting from the coordination meeting for the Wenshan Community Center site proposal in May 1999, through multiple "Local Leaders Workshops," "Wenshan Community Center Public Hearings," and "Wenshan Community Center Overall Planning Meetings," which involved community planners, representatives of civil society organizations, school parents, and community residents, a consensus was reached on planning, renovation, and utilization. Construction began in 2002 (Republic of China Year 91), and a grand inauguration ceremony was held on October 19th. Thus, the finely constructed Japanese-style building, built in the Republic of China Year 16, gained a new look and resumed its important mission of developing the local cultural history, industrial characteristics, and fostering community consciousness in this area, serving as one of the best examples of idle space reuse. Muzha Elementary School was founded 6 years before the Republic of China. It was originally a branch of Jingwei Public School. Principal Liu Shan-ming took office as the second principal in 1946 (Republic of China Year 35). Principal Liu was rigorous in his administration, actively participated in local public affairs, and nurtured countless talents. He is deeply respected by the people of Muzha.
