Ji-Qing Community - Christmas Lane. Ji-Qing Community's "Christmas Lane" originated from the "San Ai Church" in the community on the eve of Christmas in 1999, when Pastor Lin Gong-zhao of the church moved the Christmas tree that was originally inside the church outdoors. Church members in the lane also followed suit by decorating their doorways with Christmas lights and singing carols to their neighbors. Subsequently, inspired by the joyful festive atmosphere, residents in the lane gradually joined in year after year. With the dedicated efforts of Ji-Qing Community Chief Huang Sheng-zong, carpenter Mr. Wen Yong-yan, Taipei City University of Science and Technology Associate Professor Pan Tong-tai, and San Ai Church Pastors Lin Gong-zhao and Hou Shu-liang, the scale of "Christmas Lane" grew larger and its reputation gradually spread. Today, around Christmas each year, it has become a customary festive activity for every household in the lane to decorate their homes with Christmas displays. Every December, residents in the lane spontaneously begin decorating their homes, some even starting months in advance to design and create new decorations or installations for the year. The residents in the lane also have an unspoken agreement: the lights are turned on from the week before Christmas and remain lit until the Lantern Festival of the following year. The decorations in Ji-Qing Village's "Christmas Lane" are organized on a "household" basis, complemented by various themed installations, such as the Ji-Qing High-Speed Rail, cable cars, helicopters, and Rubber Duck.
