Xiangshan Park. Xiangshan Park was formerly Zhongqiang Park. It was renamed "Xiangshan Park" because it was developed alongside Elephant Mountain, which better reflects the geographical environment and public expectations. The park is home to the only protected species named after Taipei, the "Taipei Tree Frog." Such precious ecological resources are worth cherishing, and we can learn to coexist harmoniously with nature from them. Therefore, many facilities in the park incorporate the language or colors of the Taipei Tree Frog, such as the frog footprints embedded in the ground, symbolizing the leap of natural life; the park lights also feature frog silhouettes and tree shade, creating an interesting contrast. The colors of the armrests, the walls and ceilings of the public restrooms, etc., all echo the unique ecological resources of Xiangshan Park. The outer wall of the public restroom was specially commissioned to artist Zeng Risheng, who used flowers, green grass, and tree frogs to bring intangible life energy to visitors. The mural is adjacent to the children's playground, allowing children playing and parents resting to feel happy and relaxed when they see these vibrant flowers. The design of the Xiangshan Park children's playground echoes the local Taipei Tree Frog resources. The overall space is designed with the concept of "The Adventures of the Tree Frog," using the landscape mound in the center and the surrounding area to symbolize the three states of tree frog life: in water, on land, and in trees. The landscape mound also integrates climbing walls, rope nets, slides, holes, and stairs.
