Guandu Waterfront Park is vast, featuring pedestrian walkways and bicycle paths. Guandu Pier is also one of the boarding points for the "Blue Highway," with routes heading to Taipei's Dadaocheng Pier, Tamsui Old Street, Bali Left Bank, and Fisherman's Wharf. From the Guandu riverside bicycle path, one can also cycle north to Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf or south along the Keelung River to Shezi Island, connecting into a beautiful scenic route. Here, rich intertidal zone ecosystems are available for observation and research. The area presents many different aspects and views in the afternoon, at dusk, and at night, especially the riverside scenery of the Tamsui River, the beautiful sunset over Bali's Guanyin Mountain, and the dazzling landscape lights at the pier after dark.
