Sun Yun-suan Memorial Museum. Located in the southern part of Taipei City, the "Sun Yun-suan Memorial Museum" was the residence of Mr. Sun Yun-suan when he served as Premier. Mr. Yun-suan moved in in 1980. Located in the southern part of Taipei City, the "Sun Yun-suan Memorial Museum" was the residence of Mr. Sun Yun-suan when he served as Premier. Mr. Yun-suan moved in in 1980 and lived here for 26 years until his passing in 2006. During his tenure as Premier, many important decisions and policy directions were conceived here. After Mr. Yun-suan's death, in recognition of his contributions to Taiwan, the Taipei City Government Department of Cultural Affairs designated it a municipal historic site in 2006 and entrusted the Sun Yun-suan Foundation with its operation and management, aiming for full reuse of the historic site. The 866-ping residence includes the historic building, newly constructed annexes, and gardens. Inside the historic site, where Chinese and Western styles coexist, there are permanent exhibitions showcasing Taiwan's economic development and Mr. Yun-suan's personal life, as well as a special exhibition area with rotating content. The new building, designed with the textures of the historic site, serves as a space for cultural exchange, offering various lectures, performances, and courses. The gardens surrounding the buildings feature Mr. Yun-suan's favorite fish pond, magnolia trees planted by his wife, and tall, ancient trees. The establishment of the memorial aims to highlight Mr. Yun-suan's spirit of dedicated public service and his exemplary model, and to provide a cultural venue that is both traditional and modern, profound yet accessible, in various ways.
