Fulin Park. Fulin Park is located at the intersection of Zhongshan North Road and Fulin Road in Shilin District. It was completed in 1991 and covers an area of approximately 2.6 hectares, with a triangular shape. The park's most distinctive feature is the elegant artistic sculptures designed by Professor Li Zhi-wen of the Fine Arts Department of National Taipei University of the Arts, with natural scenery as the main theme. There are six groups: sun, clouds, mountains, waterfalls, water, and wells. Using abstract expression techniques, the natural landscape is transformed into three-dimensional shapes inspired by pictographs. Except for 'water,' which is cast in bronze, the other five groups are made entirely of natural stone. These natural sculptural artworks are integrated throughout the park, presenting a different visual landscape through variations in space, form, and color, offering different effects and aesthetic beauty whether viewed from afar or up close. Fulin Park is separated from Shilin Official Residence Park by only one road. In 2009, the park was renovated to accommodate surrounding parking needs and the establishment of the Li Ke-yong Memorial Library. The underground parking lot can accommodate 232 cars and 67 motorcycles. The ground level can accommodate 10 tour buses. This not only provides convenient parking for visitors to Shilin Official Residence but also allows tourists heading to Yangmingshan for flower viewing or hot springs to park their cars here and then take a bus up the mountain, avoiding the hassle of traffic jams.
