Dream Lake is located on the southeast side of Qixing Mountain in Yangmingshan National Park, Taipei. It is a nationally important wetland that nurtures the rare Isoetes taiwanensis. The lake's surface often presents a hazy landscape due to the drifting mountain clouds and fog. Viewing platforms and well-maintained trails are set up around the lake. The trail around the lake is not long, making it suitable for families and light hikers. It offers both natural ecology and beautiful terrain, making it a popular hidden gem for mountain ecology in Yangmingshan. Rare plants such as Rotala indica and Sphagnum magellanicum grow along the lake shore, showcasing diverse ecosystems. The area's habitat has recorded species like Fejervarya cancrivora, Rhacophorus taipehensis, and Odorrana versicolor, with birdsong and frog calls intertwining to display the natural landscape of the mountain wetland. To protect the precious species' habitat, Dream Lake is a closed-off controlled area. Visitors can only view the lake from the observation deck and are not allowed to enter the lake shore or descend to the lakebed. The trail sections can be slippery, and the mountain weather changes rapidly. It is recommended to wear non-slip shoes and pay attention to visibility. Dream Lake is adjacent to attractions such as Lengshuikeng, Qixing Mountain Trail, and Xiaoyoukeng, making it suitable for half-day or full-day itineraries. It is a representative scenic spot for nature observation and wetland education.
