The drainage basin passes through four villages in Shilin District: Jingshan, Pingdeng, Gongwu, and Xishan, serving as the water source for Shilin District. From Jingque Bridge to Zhugoling Bridge, the scenery along the creek banks is pleasant, and the creek ecosystem is diverse, making it a popular spot for stream trekking enthusiasts seeking hidden gems. Jingque Creek has steep terrain and rapid currents. In the past, heavy rainfall often caused erosion and landslides along the banks. To balance watershed safety and ecological conservation, the Taipei City Government's Public Works Department, Geotechnical Engineering Office, implemented comprehensive watershed planning and management, allocating funds in phases for rehabilitation. Huang Tian-jin, head of the Geotechnical Engineering Office's Debris Flow Prevention Section, stated that Jingque Creek utilizes porous stone masonry construction and has installed water-friendly facilities along the route, while also maintaining natural ecological balance. It is currently highly favored by stream trekking enthusiasts for their experiences. The Geotechnical Engineering Office indicated that the rehabilitation principles for Jingque Creek follow the natural terrain, with the installation of water-friendly platforms, trails, and bed stabilization structures to create habitats favorable for biodiversity. At locations with significant drops in the creek bed, long stone structures are installed to dissipate energy. Additionally, sedimentation ponds are established in flatter areas of the creek, serving flood control, water storage, and water-friendly functions. The Geotechnical Engineering Office pointed out that the Jingque Creek rehabilitation project, from the upstream (near Happy Farm) to the downstream tributaries, is divided into four phases.
