Gongguan Waterfront Plaza. Gongguan Waterfront Plaza is a recreational area in Taipei City near the Xindian River, and it is also the source of Taipei's water supply from a hundred years ago and the only section without a levee. Gongguan Riverside Plaza is a recreational area in Taipei City adjacent to the Xindian River. It is also the site of Taipei's water source from a century ago and the only section of scenic space without a levee. On weekdays, it provides a place for the public to relax and enjoy the riverside scenery, making it one of the few recreational areas in the city utilized 24 hours a day. In the morning, people come here for morning exercises, boxing, running, and cycling, and there is a bicycle rental station, allowing visitors to enjoy the pleasure of cycling along the riverside path. In the evening, there are international food stalls and stylish bars, and every Friday night, there are free live band performances. Coupled with the riverside cuisine, it is a rare outdoor open-air bar area in Taipei City. On the south side of the plaza is PIPE Live Music, which was transformed from the city-designated historic site "Hunshui Pumping Station." After ten years of planning and operation, it has become one of the few successful cases worldwide of repurposing a pumping station historic site into a music performance space. It hosts over 300 music performances annually and has been the first stage for many well-known Taiwanese bands, as well as a place of enlightenment for many young people learning hardware technologies such as lighting and sound. The plaza regularly holds markets on weekends, featuring youth cultural and creative products and handmade goods, accompanied by live DJ performances. You are welcome to join us to enjoy the passion of the market and the feast of music.
