MOT Arts. MOT Arts was established in 2016, marking the 30th anniversary of MOT Corporation and the 10th anniversary of the MOT Foundation, as a significant milestone in promoting architectural culture in Taiwan. MOT Arts aspires to be a new type of think tank, catalyst, and platform that shoulders corporate social responsibility and responds to the societal needs of the 21st century. Continuing the belief of the MOT Foundation's "A better tomorrow," it aims to be Taiwan's first museum focusing on the themes of "future" and "city." Located in the Taipei metropolitan area, MOT Arts is also the site of the Foundation's first exhibition for the Museum of Tomorrow. After ten years of nomadic exhibitions in the city, it has returned to its origin to take root as "a museum in the center of the city and life." As a young and new museum, MOT Arts will be a museum that explores the future and is interdisciplinary. Future event planning will focus on three major directions: "Future Issues," "Urban Architecture," and "Contemporary Art." The interior space of MOT Arts was designed by Japanese master architect Jun Aoki, and the visual identity system was designed by Atsuki Kikuchi. This is their first collaboration on a museum in Taiwan. MOT Arts possesses refined and stable taste along with youthful and avant-garde vitality, poised to become a new landmark for architecture and cultural arts in Taipei, driving the city's cultural development.
