The director's dormitory was built due to the establishment of the Songshan Sanatorium. The Former Director's Dormitory of Songshan Sanatorium was likely constructed after the 1922 ordinance on the standardization of Governor-General's Office official residences, which stipulated specific norms for the construction of residences for high-ranking officials. Jingxin Garden (Former Director's Dormitory of Songshan Sanatorium) is a Japanese-style wooden structure. Its rain-proof boards, Japanese-style double-beam roof structure, spatial layout, and building materials largely showcase the construction techniques of the Japanese colonial era. Notably, the umbrella-shaped ceiling inside and the pillar decorations on both sides of the entrance porch are unique architectural features, highlighting its cultural heritage value.
