"N24 Taipei Ark" was originally part of the Taiwan Power Company's central warehouse complex, dating back to the Japanese colonial era's Taiwan Electric Power Co., Ltd. Matsuyama Factory. "N24 Taipei Ark" was originally part of the Taiwan Power Company's central warehouse complex, dating back to the Japanese colonial era's Taiwan Electric Power Co., Ltd. Matsuyama Factory, and served as the Matsuyama Repair Plant for Taiwan Power Company after the war. Originally used as a warehouse, the building's design lacked good natural light and ventilation. Understanding the functional requirements and the characteristics of the structure, the design team, in conjunction with the East District Gateway Project, targeted office use. The renovation involved separating the warehouse volume and extending it outwards to allow more natural light into the interior. The increased height on the roof level allowed for a deconstruction of the office space, enabling vertical connections. Introducing New Functions to Respond to New Era Trends The design team, with the concept of social flow, broke through spatial limitations and planned flexible spaces for work, discussion, and relaxation, allowing users to maintain freedom of interaction and space while working. Additionally, considering the building's historical status, the design team not only reinforced the structure with steel frame strengthening and seismic wall construction but also preserved the exterior materials and traces of its past use, using steel as a new material to highlight the appearance of the original materials. This restoration method, which respects historical context by retaining parts of the original appearance, allows us to see the mottled walls from various perspectives, and
