The museum's core theme is the mining history and gold of Jinguashi, integrating the settlement landscape, mining history, local culture, and ecological scenery of the Jinguashi area. As the first museum in Taiwan founded on the concept of an ecological museum, the Gold Museum has been dedicated to sustainable resource management and ecotourism since its opening in November 2004. By collaborating with the community, we aim to properly preserve the precious natural ecology, mining heritage, scenic beauty, historical memories, and cultural assets of the Jinguashi and Shuinandong areas, giving them new life.
