Wenchang Temple. Xinzhuang Wenchang Temple enshrines Emperor Wenchang. Xinzhuang Wenchang Temple enshrines Emperor Wenchang. During the renovation of Ci You Temple in the 7th year of the Yongzheng reign (1729 AD), Emperor Wenchang was enshrined as an accompanying deity. In the 18th year of the Jiaqing reign (1813 AD), Cao Rulin, the magistrate of Xinzhuang County, donated funds to build Wenchang Temple on the right rear side of Ci You Temple. Later, in the 1st year of the Guangxu reign (1875 AD), Chuan Duanquan, the magistrate of Mengjia County, and gentry such as Chen Shizhang relocated it to its current site.
