Xinzhuang Ciyou Temple — Ciyou Temple is the oldest temple in Xinzhuang, said to have been founded in the 25th year of Kangxi's reign (1686 AD) and rebuilt in the 9th year of Yongzheng's reign (1731 AD).

During its reconstruction in the 9th year of Yongzheng's reign (1731 AD), it was renamed "Ciyou Temple," and is also commonly referred to as "Xinzhuang Mazu Temple." It underwent further reconstructions during the Qianlong, Jiaqing, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu, Japanese colonial period, and after the Retrocession. In 1985, Ciyou Temple was designated as a Class III Historic Site in Taiwan and Fujian. This temple is also mentioned in "General History of Taiwan." Originally just an inconspicuous small temple, it grew into a center of faith with the development of Xinzhuang, and was thus rebuilt into a Mazu temple of considerable scale.
