Jieyun Temple is located on Ximen Street in Banqiao District. It primarily enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva. Its predecessor was "Ciyun Temple" established in Shibihu, Zhonghe during the Yongzheng era. Counting from this time, the temple is over two hundred years old. In the third year of Xianfeng, Ciyun Temple was burned down by people from Quanzhou. In the sixth year of Xianfeng, Lin Guofang of Banqiao welcomed it and moved it to the northwest corner of Banqiao City. Later, due to the construction of the Lin Benyuan residence, it was moved again to the current location to build a temple for worship. Since then, Jieyun Temple has replaced the former Ciyun Temple to become the center of faith for the thirteen villages of Baijie (present-day Banqiao, Zhonghe, Yonghe, Tucheng, etc.).
