After the restoration, the government sent personnel to survey and formulate a renovation plan. Later, Yehliu Fishing Harbor was gradually expanded. Furthermore, with the opening of the Baishihu Interchange of the National Freeway 1, local catches no longer needed to go to Keelung City before being transported onto the freeway, greatly expanding the harbor's transportation reach and breaking through its old scope.
