New Taipei City Military Martyrs' Shrine (Weapons Park). The New Taipei City Military Martyrs' Shrine was formerly known as the New Taipei City Military Cemetery. It is located on the sunny side of Datong Mountain in Shulin District, New Taipei City, covering an area of 5.6 hectares. The shrine was completed in July of the 48th year of the Republic of China. The shrine was completed in July of the 48th year of the Republic of China and serves as a place for the eternal commemoration of fallen soldiers and deceased veterans. Due to over twenty years of use, the original military cemetery had simple early architecture, deteriorating facilities, and insufficient capacity in the ossuary. It was rebuilt on the original site in the 71st year of the Republic of China and reopened in March of the 73rd year. In June of the 85th year, it was approved to be renamed "New Taipei City Military Martyrs' Shrine." After the county and city merger, it was renamed "New Taipei City Military Martyrs' Shrine."
