Located north of the Shuandong settlement in Ruifang District, New Taipei City, the Yin Yang Sea is famous for its unique golden yellow and azure seawater, and is a special geographical landscape of the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area in Taiwan. Due to the large amount of pyrite on nearby Jinguashi Mountain, it weathers to form copper and iron ions, which dissolve into the water and form iron hydroxide that adsorbs sediment, creating yellowish-brown suspended matter, resulting in the unique yellow and blue gradient beauty of the Yin Yang Sea. The seawater in the bay appears yellowish-brown due to natural minerals, forming a stark contrast with the blue seawater in the direction of the open sea, truly a natural palette!
