In 1978, the Huazang Pagoda, the Great Buddha Hall, and the Sutra Repository were expanded according to the terrain of the small hill. The current Guangcheng Temple is a modern building constructed in 1994. Due to the widening and reconstruction of Jincheng Road, about 1000 ping of the original over 1400 ping temple land was expropriated, forcing a conversion into a building.
