Located near the Tamsui River, Air Force Sanchong Village One covers an area of approximately 1.38 hectares and is the only remaining anti-aircraft artillery village in northern Taiwan. Located near the Tamsui River, Air Force Sanchong Village One covers an area of approximately 1.38 hectares and is the only remaining anti-aircraft artillery village in northern Taiwan. It was designated a historical building in 2006, becoming the first cultural heritage site of its kind in New Taipei City. During the Japanese occupation, the Japanese military built six anti-aircraft artillery emplacements here to defend against Allied air raids. In 1953, with the anti-aircraft artillery positions as the core, dozens of residential buildings were constructed. Due to its proximity to the Tamsui River, the village frequently suffered damage from natural disasters such as typhoons and floods, leading to subsequent renovations that resulted in its current appearance.
