Legend has it that the word 'Wulai' originally came from the Atayal indigenous people, meaning 'hot spring,' so the local hot springs are also quite famous. The spring water is a weakly alkaline carbonated spring, clear and transparent. The famous Wulai Waterfall, about 80 meters high, cascades down like a white silk ribbon from the sky, with great momentum. In addition, the Wulai scenic trolley is also one of Wulai's features. It was originally used mainly for transporting timber but is now a means of transportation for tourists to explore the mountains.
