Fengshu Lake. Located west of the Datun Mountains, Fengshu Lake is currently the only area in Taiwan with a large forest of Magnolia grandiflora. Magnolia grandiflora is commonly known as "lotus growing on trees." For thousands of years, it has been revered and loved by Buddhists, and is also a valuable medicinal herb and spice with high processing value. Located west of the Datun Mountains, Fengshu Lake is currently the only area in Taiwan with a large forest of Magnolia grandiflora. Magnolia grandiflora is commonly known as "lotus growing on trees." The flowers are over 50 years old and have been carefully cultivated by local farmers, with over a thousand Magnolia grandiflora trees planted. The Magnolia grandiflora resembles a lotus throne and is not commonly seen in Taiwan. Currently, it can only be found at the Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Alishan, and Fo Guang Shan, but Fengshu Lake in Tamsui is the only place with large-scale cultivation. Don't miss the most mysterious and precious flower sea in Taipei! Fengshu Lake does not have a lake. The name originates from the six large sweetgum trees at the entrance in early times. Because it is surrounded by mountains on three sides, it resembles a lake, hence the place name Fengshu Lake.
