Diyi Hall. Diyi Hall, also known as Diyitang, commonly called Marshal Temple, was founded in 1873 by the Banqiao Lin family after the Quanzhou-Zhangzhou conflict during the Xianfeng era, to commemorate. The main deity worshipped is Marshal Xu, whose real name was Xu Cai. He was a martial arts master hired by the Lin Benyuan family. During the Zhangzhou-Quanzhou conflict in the ninth year of the Xianfeng reign (1859), Xu Cai and 12 young men died in service. Later, the Banqiao Lin family funded the construction of a shrine to comfort their spirits.
