Canguangliao Mountain, adjacent to the famous Jinguashi scenic area, stands at an elevation of 739 meters, making it the highest peak in the Keelung Volcano Group. Lush silvergrass is characteristic of this mountainous area. In autumn, the mountain is covered in silvergrass flowers that shimmer brilliantly under the sun, which is said to be the origin of the name "Canguangliao." The summit of Canguangliao Mountain is unobstructed, with no higher peaks surrounding it, offering a panoramic view extending nearly 100 kilometers. On a clear day, one can gaze towards Taipei City on one side and see the Sanxiandian Lighthouse and the coast of the Northeast Corner on the other.
