The Ankeng Light Rail, the second light rail system in northern Taiwan, is entirely located in the Ankeng area of Xindian. It features 9 light rail stations, connecting the metropolitan area with the tranquil mountain town. Passengers can transfer to the Circular Line MRT at Shisizhang Station. Through the large panoramic windows of the light rail trains, passengers can enjoy views of the mountain scenery, the Sunshine Bridge over the Xindian River, Anxin Bridge, and landmarks such as Taipei 101. The New Taipei City Department of Transportation also collaborated with multiple artists to install ingenious public art at each light rail station, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in a diverse artistic atmosphere while waiting for their train.
