Wufan Pit — Wufan Pit was opened in 1927 (Showa 2). The ore extracted from the pit at that time was transported via an aerial pipeline to the crushing plant at the foot of the mountain (originally near the Songde Activity Center) for crushing. A narrow-gauge railway also passed in front of the pit. It was originally operated by the Japanese and was contracted by Jiuda Company after the restoration of Taiwan. In 1971, mining operations were completely halted, and all mine shafts were sealed for the safety of residents and visitors. In front of the pit, there is a small community park platform for recreation, offering views of the Shenao Cape seascape.
