Entering from the old locomotive, you can enjoy a nostalgic new look; you can also eat popsicles and recall the sweet taste of childhood. The sugar factory now adopts a diversified management strategy, and the staff welfare club left from the Japanese colonial era is the most popular among tourists. Opposite the staff welfare club, the tourist area has a fountain pool and a white bridge, with paintings of the old mountain line scenery on the walls. Walking across the bridge, there is also a covered corridor exhibiting old farm tools and items used in daily life in the past, as if stepping into a time tunnel. On the other side is the exhibition and sales center, fully stocked with Taiwan Sugar products. In addition to Taiwan Sugar ice cream, Yueh Mei Tourist Sugar Factory also offers guided tours of the "Centennial Tourist Sugar Factory." The factory is lush with trees, with ancient trees reaching to the sky, including a thousand-year-old Zemin tree, the only thousand-year-old ginkgo tree on flat ground, a hundred-year-old Murraya paniculata, and a hundred-year-old pine tree path.
