Le Cheng Temple. The origin of Le Cheng Temple dates back to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, when the Lin family ancestors brought the incense of Mazu from Meizhou to Taiwan. Upon reaching Hanxi, Mazu chose the location to reside, and thus the villagers. Upon reaching Hanxi, Mazu chose the location to reside, and thus the villagers built a temple to worship her. The temple has a history of over two hundred years. This temple features a two-hall layout. The roof of the front hall is a double-eaved hip-and-gable style, appearing more magnificent than ordinary temples. The pair of bluestone lions at the main entrance and the many preserved granite stone slabs attest to the temple's long history. In 1985, the Ministry of the Interior designated Le Cheng Temple as a national third-class historic site, making it a suitable destination for a historical tour. The two-hundred-year-old incense burner, exquisitely carved altar, stone door pillows and bases, and ancient bluestone lions are all testaments to Le Cheng Temple's two-hundred-year history.
