Chang Liao Ancestral Temple. The Chang-Liao Ancestral Shrine, commonly known as Chang-Liao Ancestral Hall, Liao Ancestral Home, or Tianyu Ancestral Shrine, is also called Chenghu Hall due to its designation as "Chenghu." It is located in the area formerly known as Xidatun Street (present-day Xi. The Chang-Liao Ancestral Shrine, commonly known as the Chang-Liao Public Hall, Liao Ancestral Home, or Tianyu Ancestral Hall, is also called Chenghu Hall due to its designation as "Chenghu." It is located in the area formerly known as Xidatun Street (present-day Xitun). It was built by the Chang-Liao clan, originally from Lantian Building, Guopo Village, Second Township, Zhao'an County, Zhangzhou Prefecture, Fujian. The Xitun Chang-Liao Ancestral Shrine was constructed in the 42nd year of the Meiji era (1909 AD) and completed in the 44th year of the Meiji era (1911 AD). Subsequently, left and right wing rooms and surrounding walls were added, with construction fully completed in the 5th year of the Taisho era (1916 AD).
