The old Tai'an Station in Houli was designated as a historical site by the Taichung City Government after the old mountain line of the Western Trunk Line ceased operations on September 24, 1998. It was transformed into a railway culture park. After its closure, it attracted more visitors and became a new tourist attraction. The pillars of the double-eaved roof on the platform are made of railway tracks produced in the early 20th century. After ceasing operations, the old Tai'an Station ended its nearly 90 years of service that began in 1908.
