According to research, the "Founding Mazu" is one of the earliest Mazu statues in Taiwan, with a history of 323 years. It is currently housed in Wuqi Chaoyuan Temple. When people in Wuqi refer to worshipping "Wuqi Mazu," they mean visiting Wuqi Chaoyuan Temple. In addition to thanking Mazu for her blessings and praying for peace, visitors to Chaoyuan Temple can also carefully admire the stone tablets on the walls and the beams and pillars in the temple, many of which are inscriptions by contemporary celebrities or works by literati.
