Daan Water-Pennywort Ecological Education Park is located in a pond on the south bank of the Wenliao River in Daan District. Its main purpose is to restore the critically endangered plant, Water-Pennywort. The Daan Water-Pennywort in the park is a perennial aquatic herbaceous plant with erect, quadrangular stems covered in dense hairs at the nodes. It has simple, opposite, papery, linear-lanceolate leaves and blooms with purple, tubular flowers. Its fruit is oblong-cylindrical, and it is a rare endemic species of Taiwan.
