Shekou Lin Residence - Daifu Di. During the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty, the Lin family ancestors settled in Anli She (present-day Shengang District) in Taiwan. During the Tongzhi reign's Dai Chaochun Incident, Lin Zhenfang assisted the Qing army in suppressing Dai Chaochun, and the Qing court awarded him the title and a plaque from the "Zhongshu Ke" (Secretariat). The Shekou Lin Residence was built during Lin Zhenfang's most prosperous period. It was originally a renovated and expanded old residence purchased from the Wu and Zhang families. The initial structure was completed in the first year of the Guangxu reign (1875), while the side wings (hulongs) were gradually added more than a decade later as the family population grew.
