Residents had to wade across to interact. For the safety of the elderly, children, women, and the infirm, the bridge was built in the 15th year of the Showa era (1940 AD). Due to the outbreak of the Pacific War at the time, all cement was requisitioned, forcing the local people to use materials such as glutinous rice, lime, and brown sugar mixed together. This resulted in its unique elasticity, and it remained undamaged even after the 921 earthquake. Its special construction method and design hold significant preservation value, especially for its indispensable contribution to the safety of local residents.
