Taiping Tobacco Buying Station. Built in 1955, the Taiping Tobacco Buying Station was where the Monopoly Bureau appraised and purchased tobacco leaves from farmers. Witnessing the development of Taiping's tobacco industry, it was designated as a historical building in 201. After restoration, it has been planned into three exhibition areas: the local arts and culture exhibition area; the Tobacco Leaf Interpretation Hall area, which introduces the history of the tobacco industry; and finally, the memorial hall area displaying works by the internationally renowned iron sculpture artist Ting-Shih Chen, creating a new space that combines history with art and culture.
