Shekou Wanxing Temple. This temple was built during the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty, nearly 300 years ago, with a long history. In the ninth year of Yongzheng, during the Dajia Xishe indigenous uprising, Chief Tupan Pan Dunzi, along with his sons Shiwan and Shixing, and interpreter Zhang Dajing, led strong men to quell the rebellion with merit. In the eleventh year of Yongzheng, Zhang Dajing led Shiwan and Shixing to the capital to receive rewards, including an imperial python robe (currently preserved by the Zhang family). Upon returning to Taiwan, feeling grateful for the Empress of Heaven's grace, they specifically traveled to Meizhou Tianhou Temple to invite the divine spirit of the Empress of Heaven and enshrined her at Shengang She Nan Wadiaojiao (a kiln was built to fire tiles and bricks for temple construction, hence the name Wadiaojiao). Later, due to unfavorable geography, the temple was moved to its current location. The origin of Wanxing Temple is said to be derived from the names Shiwan and Shixing. Shekou was once the main entrance and exit for the Anli region. After Han Chinese settlers arrived, they called this place Wanxing Zhuang, hence the name.
