Tanzih Elementary School Japanese-style School Building (Reservation Required). The predecessor of Tanzih Elementary School was the Tanzikeng Branch School of the Horubun Public School, established on May 1, 1909 (Meiji 42), and became independent on April 1 of the following year. The predecessor of Tanzih Elementary School was the Tanzikeng Branch School of the Horubun Public School, established on May 1, 1909 (Meiji 42), and became independent on April 1 of the following year as Tanzikeng Public School. In 1941 (Showa 16), in conjunction with the reform of Taiwan's elementary education system, it was renamed Tanzih National School. After World War II, in 1968 (MinGuo 57), it was changed to Tanzih National Elementary School.
