Yang Kui Museum. Mr. Yang Kui was the first Taiwanese writer during the Japanese colonial era to have his literary works included in textbooks. He is a highly respected local literary figure in Xinhua, and can be considered. The Yang Kui Museum, located next to the Xinhua Old Town Hall, features the desk and chairs that Mr. Yang Kui used. There is a noticeable indentation on the wooden desk, said to be caused by Mr. Yang Kui resting his elbow on the table while thinking during his writing process. Over time, the area he most frequently touched became indented, a testament to his dedication to literary creation. The two-story Yang Kui Museum preserves some of his personal belongings and biographical information. The second floor also showcases many of his literary works. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance, as the museum staff can arrange for a guide to explain Yang Kui's life and interpret his works, providing a more in-depth visiting experience. Don't forget to also visit the adjacent Ouwei Cinema and the Xinhua Old Town Hall.
