Thanks to Mr. Lin Bingxiu, the 'Grandpa of Macaques,' who often brings buckets of fruit and food to the mountains to check on and feed them, these macaques have a sanctuary where they can live peacefully. With his loving gaze watching over these treasures of Taiwan's mountains, not only has the macaque population thrived, but the numbers of other animals like masked palm civets, squirrels, and wild rabbits have also increased.
