When you come to Jiangjun District, besides visiting the lively fish market at the fishing harbor or playing in the sand and waves at Mashagou Beach, there's another excellent ecological tour option: appreciating the mangrove ecosystem at the General Creek mouth. Find the Great Marshal Temple, and you'll see the General Creek levee. Standing on the levee reveals a vast expanse of lush green mangrove forest stretching inland from the General Creek estuary, which is very spectacular. The mangrove forest can also be called an important cradle for the estuary's ecosystem. Many egrets and various water birds inhabit the mangroves, while the water surface teems with intertidal creatures like fiddler crabs and mudskippers. The scene resembles an ecological paradise from a National Geographic documentary. If you happen to visit during sunset, the estuary becomes even more breathtaking, with golden light illuminating the entire General Creek, even casting a golden glow over the mangrove forest. It's a must-see attraction when visiting Jiangjun.
