Due to mining and erosion by rainwater, three large erosion marks are visible on its cliff face, clearly seen from afar. Some people also call it "Three Dragons"; this mountain peak is entirely composed of limestone. It was originally a lens-shaped limestone within interlayers of muddy sandstone. The upward-facing end (the tapering end) was largely cut away due to mining, leaving a limestone body protruding from the surrounding muddy sandstone, resembling a pillow, hence the name Zhentou Mountain. This limestone is bioclastic limestone, containing fossilized remains of organisms such as corals and shells.
