Local residents refer to this cemetery as "Old Ancestress's Tomb". It is rumored that the Qing government, in an effort to permanently extinguish the Feng Shui of the Zheng family, dug up the graves of Zheng's descendants everywhere. To prevent the Qing government from discovering the real grave, the Zheng descendants specially built 9 identical tombs near this small hill on "Beimen Islet" to create a diversion. Additionally, due to its past location near the Daofeng Inner Sea, the sea mist would often shroud the entire hill, leading to the saying "Jiuyunyin" (Nine Misty Vapors).
