Fang Yuan Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most artistic and beautiful buildings in Jiangjun District. It has had two previous identities: the former residence of Jiangjun's first township chief, Huang Qingwu – Suiyuan, and also the clinic where Chief Huang practiced medicine – Suisheng Hospital. Built in 1944, its most distinctive architectural feature is the integration of a siheyuan (courtyard house) with arched corridors, a blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles that was very avant-garde at the time. After being taken over and renovated by the Fang Yuan Cultural and Arts Foundation, it became the current Fang Yuan Museum of Fine Arts, showcasing many contemporary artworks. The study and former residence of Chief Huang, along with preserved artifacts and old photographs, are also housed within. Visitors can appreciate the lifestyle and taste of early literati, as well as view contemporary artistic creations.
