In addition to its magnificent temple architecture, Xuankong Temple is known for its landscape gardening, using its environment to teach the Dharma and attract followers. The temple's treasure, the "Buddha Heart Seal Sacred Stone," weighs 152 tons and is inscribed with a large "Buddha" character and the entire text of the "Heart Sutra."
